We finally got word a few days ago that we will be travelling to bring home baby Michael in a couple of weeks! We will be leaving during Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 5th and returning a week later on Sunday, September 12th. It will be a whirlwind trip! It will probably be a tough one, too. We'll be taking Michael out of the only home he has known for the past year of his life so he will be going through some major adjustments. Not to mention he hasn't seen us in what will be 6 weeks by then, so I hope he remembers us! Plus, we'll be away from James for the first time. He's spent weekends with his grandparents before, but Sean and I were always in-town. We've never gone out of town without him, much less go to the other side of the world! So that will be tough, too, probably more so for us than James!
So, we're now trying to make full use of the next couple of weekends to prepare for Michael's homecoming, as well as making preparations for James' first day of school on Monday. We are busy, busy, and life is about to get even busier! But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
